This afternoon I made a practice 8 strand plaited loaf in preparation for Exeter Baking Club on Wednesday. It’s what I’ve chosen to do as part of our Technical Challenge week. We have attempted to learn the 8 strand before but became unstuck fairly quickly.
Today, however, I was determined to conquer the confusing instructions….and I did(ish)!
The plait is by no means perfect. But the instructions did start to make much more sense and so I hope that when I make the final one for Wednesday, it will turn out slightly better.
The bread itself though, is absolutely delicious!
