Today was Exeter Baking Club’s Free From meeting. That meant no dairy or gluten! And I have to say I think we filled the brief wonderfully. We had Chocolate Ginger Brownies, Plum Jam Cake with Nuts and Chocolate, Bubble Cake, and two sets of Flapjacks. Bake Of The Week went to new member Silvia for her delicious Bubble Cake (which contained lots of lovely summer fruits). I will post the recipe tomorrow.
This week we had several lovely new people join us, which was a wonderful surprise as I have been slacking somewhat on the publicity front recently. It’s just really lovely to know that the word is spreading and people are wanting to come along. Today was only our 4th meeting and already we have some fabulous and passionate members. I can only hope the trend continues.
