Sweet Treat Sunday – Self Saucing Chocolate Pudding

It’s a nice and simple recipe for this weeks delicious Sweet Treat, and my oh my was it delicious. Self Saucing Chocolate Pudding – gooey, rich and very very chocolatey. The Other Half has implored me to add that it was the best chocolate pudding he has ever had the pleasure of eating. I, and this recipe for that matter, couldn’t have wished for any higher praise.

200g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
100g unsalted butter
3 eggs, lightly beaten
115g caster sugar
15g plain flour

  • Melt the chocolate and butter in a heat proof bowl set over a pan of boiling water. Do not let the bottom of the bowl actually touch the water
  • Place the eggs, flour and sugar in a separate bowl and mix until combined
  • Gradually mix in the melted chocolate and butter mixture
  • Divide between 4 well-greased ramekins and bake at 200°C for 15 minutes.
